Many a Moon |
a blog celebrating the sublime world of Time-Lapse photography. |
Hey so, I haven’t been on here in about 3 months. I sincerely apologize to all of those who have continued to follow me despite this.
However, I am going to start posting on here once more and will hopefully be able to keep the quality up from what it was originally!
I will go ahead and say that this time I’m going to be posting a lot more of my own personal time-lapse work, and less on a bunch of other peoples work. I will still be shouting out to the best of the best when I come upon it!
Also there will be no discussion about Moon Walking in this post, so sorry to get your hopes up.

Hey everyone!
I want to apologize for the complete and utter lack of posts this past week or so. I’ve been out of town and have had no way of checking on the blog. I had a good amount of posts queued up for your viewing pleasure but for whatever reason tumblr seems to have not posted a single one, save for the first in the queue. lol.
At any rate I’m back now and will get to work fixing things up and getting some posts made!

Yes indeed, Tuesday is upon us once more. This means its time for all manner of small critters and objects of the world to creep onto the blog. Be on the look out for time-lapse footage of insects/flowers and anything else you can shoot with a macro lens!

Follower omerm has submitted some great time-lapse films that are definitely worth sharing! This first submission of his is set in San Francisco and uses a tilt-shift lens which is always qualifies it for an insta-publish on Many a Moon, ;).
It was filmed by Bhautik Joshi using a Canon EOS 450D or XSi
Thanks again for the great submission Omerm!
I now bring you all another great film from the talented Clemens Wirth, whose work first appeared on this blog here. The last work I posted of his made small things larger in appearance. So perhaps it is fitting that this next post makes larger objects seem smaller by appearance. Of course this can only mean one thing, tilt shift photography! Yay!
Titled “Operation: Toyland” This great piece explores three cities: Munich, Germany , Innsbruck, Austria and Lucern, Switzerland. Tilt-Shift miniaturization + time-lapse photography always makes for an awesome combination.
Clemens filmed this with a Canon 5d mark II.
To get things started I have this great piece set in Paris, France. It has a really beautiful ambiance about it; with some nice shots involving the Eiffel tower. The clouds shot in this piece are also simply breathtaking. They have a really powerful and majestic quality about them that I really like.
The film was shot by The Seventh Movement with a Canon 5D II 24 tse II 24-70 tc-80n3 as well as a Nikon D3 14 -24 24 PC-e + GD ND filter.

That’s right! The weekend is over and most of us are headed back to the busy work week. I took a little break from the blog, over the weekend but now I am back as well. So while we may be headed back to work at least we have lots of great time-lapse films, set in or around cities to look forward to!

It’s been a while since I lasted posted a video from these guys, so I figured a new post was due. For those who weren’t around for my first post, this video was created by a group of Japanese artists called Rinpa. As they describe on their website they believe the greatest expression of art is not in the end result but in the process of creating it. This great piece is a time-lapse of them painting and creating various works of art using only cardboard boxes. Enjoy! =)

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts today I’ve been pretty busy with work all day and haven’t had a moment to post any time-lapse goodness.
However, I have some great news! My new tripod just arrived in the mail today while I was at work! I was planning on taking some unboxing photos; but in my excitement and haste I had already torn through the packaging before I remembered, haha. Maybe I will carefully put it all back together and take some “fake” unboxing pics. ;). At any rate I will be taking this bad boy out into the field tomorrow to do some testing. So look out for a full review on both the tripod and a feature on how to select the right kind of tripod for time-lapse photography, this weekend.
In other news I have gained a ton of new followers the past two days, so I want to take this time to thank you all for following! So thanks to:
